Birgitta Birgersdotter known as St. Birgitta, author, theologian, monastery founder, saint and patron saint of Europe. Born in 1303 as Birgitta Birgersdotter, daughter of Upplands Judge Birger Persson Finsta and Ingeborg Bengtsdotter that belonged Folkunga family. Died July 23, 1373 in Rome. Both by his parents and by her husband, she heard the politically leading circles in medieval Sweden. Her grandfather was a cousin of Magnus Ladul
